I’m on tour. I feel a bit like a musician, or at least I’m gaining a small insight into what it might be like.
I hosted my first international “A Note To The Runners” this week in Manila. It was on top of a shopping mall, wild – right? On top of the shopping mall was a 1km track, a new initiative from SM Supermalls to create a safe place for people to run. It was truly epic. I teamed up with RWP Run Club and hosted 100+ runners for running and poetry. We ran, we wrote, and we shared. After 19 events in Melbourne last year, experiencing a new iteration of ANTTR was fun. RWP Run Club and SM Supermalls set up the stage and microphone for me and the participants to share our poems. Many times, I had goosebumps.
The next stop is Canada!
I’m in the Philippines for one of my best friends' weddings. I’m the best man, so I have some important notes to write down and deliver. As always, I leave things to the last minute, so I had better get writing soon.
From Manila, I fly directly to Toronto. (Ahhhhhh - long haul.)
Once I land, it’s on.
I’m leading five (or maybe six) A Note To The Runners experiences (maybe 6) across Canada with multiple specialty run stores.
I’d love to see you there. Sign up via the link/time/location that’s applicable to you – click below.
